Prora
Island of Rügen, Germany
Prora is a historically significant architectural complex located on the island of Rügen, Germany. The centerpiece of Prora is a massive building complex that was initially constructed during the Nazi era under Adolf Hitler's regime.
This structure, commonly referred to as the "Colossus of Prora," was intended to be a seaside resort and a part of the "Strength through Joy" program. It features an extensive row of identical, interconnected buildings, stretching over several kilometers along the Baltic Sea coastline.
The quay wall in Prora refers to a coastal seawall or quay that provides access to the Baltic Sea. It's an essential part of the complex and serves as a barrier against coastal erosion and a place for visitors to access the beach. The quay wall often features a combination of concrete and stone construction and plays a crucial role in both the practical and aesthetic aspects of Prora.
Prora, with its monumental architecture and historical significance, offers a unique setting for photography and a glimpse into a bygone era. It's a place where history, nature, and architecture converge, making it a subject for photographers and visitors alike.

And you will always be reminded at this place that this time must never come back again!
